Остров Хвар

Pakleni Islands – southwest of Hvar Island, there is a group of islands of particular interest to sailors and nature lovers. Once, they formed the protective harbour of the town itself. Visiting Hvar without going to the Pakleni Islands would be like visiting Venice and not taking a ride in a gondola.
The most beautiful Hvar beaches are on the Pakleni Islands, to which there are frequent boat connections from Hvar harbour.
The most popular beach is Jerolim, a well-known, traditionally naturist beach, equipped with showers and shops. There are several boat services from Hvar harbour to Jerolim.
Ždrilica is a wooded bay with several pebble beaches and hidden spots where you can relax, enjoy the sun, sea, and picturesque underwater world. Transport by boat is organised.
Palmižana is a wide bay with a shallow, sandy beach. It is surrounded by thick pine forests, undergrowth scented with heather, rosemary, and other aromatic plants. There is a regular boat service from Hvar harbour. Pokonji Dol is a pebble beach not far from Hvar, and behind it is Mekićevica, another pebble beach.
Vrboska – a village with typical country houses and several Baroque and Renaissance buildings, a fishing tackle museum and a church and fortress, housing a valuable collection of works of art.
Jelsa – a small town with a lovely square, park and beautiful beaches Rudine, Selca, Dol, Vrbanj, Svirce, Vrisnik and Pitve
– picturesque villages
Poljica, Zastrazišće, Gdinj, Bogomolje and Sućuraj – villages on the east coast of the island
The waters around Hvar contain varied marine life and on the nearby Kabal peninsula there is a rabbit and pheasant farm used to supply hunters.
