Island of Brac

Brac
An island of stone sun and the sea is the largest of all mid Dalmatian islands. Brac is an island of steep shores and rocks but also of beautiful beaches like the famous Zlatni Rat, spectacular jewel of nature. Rocks and bushes mix with fertile fields in the interior and pine forests at the island hilltops. Numerous towns scattered in the interior and on the shore like stone monuments hide the rich heritage of long centuries.

Brac changed overlords through history but the specific stone remained witness of the island's soul. Part of that soul was built into some of the most significant structure of history (Diocletian's palace) and present (White House in Washington). Increasing number of visitors, partly due to the construction of an airport, have a hard time resisting the specific charm of the island that has so much to offer.
